Mercari’s mission is simple: to make selling as easy as buying. And with 45M+ downloads in the US and 150k new listings every day, they’re just getting started. With an opportunity to launch a popular Japanese app in the US market, Nelson Cash introduced Mercari with a bold message: Anyone can sell or buy (almost) anything.
We started by making simple, funny social media posts, and quickly escalated into full-scale promotions and web design. I crafted copy that always started with a cultural truth, and joked it up from there.
